Overview
The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is the intergovernmental organization of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland set up for the promotion of free trade and economic integration to the benefit of its four Member States.
Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland are not members of the EU. Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway are members of the EEA. Switzerland is a member of the EFTA but does not take part in the EEA.
